Camera packs power
SI-3170 MegaCamera series of digital 1/2-in CMOS cameras with C-mount provides 2048 X 1536-pixel resolution and runs at video rates of up to 30 frames/s at full resolution. Cameras use dual 12-bit digitizers to sample two output taps, each at 50 MHz, to achieve 100 Mpixels/s. Both the SI-3170M monochrome and the SI-3170RGB color cameras incorporate the Camera Link interface. Their CMOS sensor array contains 3.3-µm-square pixels that operate in full-frame or window mode. A reduced region of interest (windowing) provides readout rates in excess of 500 frames/s. The cameras are fully programmable via a serial port with flash memory for parameter storage and preset recall.
