Ari Presler has 25 years of experience in emerging technology business development, software and hardware product management, and new venture operations. His broad experience base includes integrated electro-optical camera system design, marketing, IP licensing, outsourced manufacturing, global sales channel creation and strategic partnerships.
As the founder and chief technologist of Silicon Imaging, he developed over twenty award winning high definition camera systems for a range of applications including UAV sensing, surveillance and entertainment. His Silicon Imaging SI-2K cameras were used to shoot Slumdog Millionaire, the first feature to win 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Cinematography to be primarily shot in digital format. A 9-camera synchronized configuration capable of 18K 360-degree capture received the IMMY Award for Innovation in Arts & Entertainment, and was featured on Discovery and G4TV.
He is the recipient of the TV Technology Mario Award, Millimeter Vanguard, Frost & Sullivan Customer Value Award, Advanced Imaging Solution of the Year Award and the prestigious 2012 Technology Award from the International 3D Society. . He has authored several papers and a patent on Digital Cinema cameras for recording, editing and visualizing Images.
